Meet Dr. Bernett
The Image Center invites you to schedule a Cosmetic Consultation with Dr. Marguerite Bernett to discuss any area of the face or body that you may wish to enhance or change. She will provide you with the time, care and understanding necessary to help you make this very personal decision towards self-improvement.
“Refining beauty with meticulous and gentle care” is Dr. Bernett’s approach to each patient that seeks her advise and treatment for their particular area of concern. A love for the union of art and science is one of the reasons Dr. Bernett chose to specialize in Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Bernett’s expertise is in all areas of cosmetic plastic surgery. This includes facial rejuvenation, laser surgery, nose reshaping, breast and body contouring, and non invasive rejuvenating procedures. She has dedicated her profession in continuously learning the latest in the state of the art technology, so that she can provide every patient with an optimal outcome and a beautiful result.
Dr. Bernett has been a licensed surgeon in California since 1988. She began her specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1990. She has trained extensively in all areas of Cosmetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at leading Universities. Among these academic centers are the departments of Surgery and of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of California Irvine and Medical Center, Tulane University and Medical Center, and The University of Kentucky at Louisville Medical Center.
Dr. Bernett had a heartfelt dream to help those who had sustained injuries through trauma, birth deformities and breast cancer by focusing her research at the University of California, Irvine division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the area that is known as “Reconstructive Microsurgery”. She worked closely with the world renown Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Professor, Dr. David Furnas, who served as Director and Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California Irvine. Dr. Bernett has also completed a fellowship in Breast Reconstruction at the University of Louisville. And she has proudly served as Plastic Surgeon Advisor for the Orange County chapter of the Susan G. Komen foundation, treating patients requiring breast reconstruction after undergoing treatment for breast cancer and breast deformities.
Another area that remains close to her heart are patients needing body lifting procedures following weight reduction through Lap Band Surgery and Gastric Bypass Surgery. A variety of procedures in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery are available to help patient’s restore a healthy body image and appearance
