It is important to understand the difference between neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators that work by preventing muscles from contracting so that wrinkles are softened. Dermal fillers work by plumping up creases and hollowness, restoring fullness to the face. Fillers can also be used to create fuller, more sensuous lips.
Belotero is a hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in our bodies that is well suited to plump fine lines. It lasts approximately 3-5 months.

You are good candidate for Belotero if you have fine lines or under eye hollowness that you would like treated.

How will I be evaluated for Belotero?
Our nurse or doctor will examine the areas of concern to determine the appropriate product and amount to recommend to you. You should be prepared to discuss your medical history. This will include information about any medical conditions, drug allergies, medical treatments you have received, pregnancies, previous surgeries, and medications that you currently take. It is important for you to provide complete information.
How is Belotero performed?
You will be assessed by our nurse or doctor for the appropriate placement of Belotero and amount needed. Belotero is injected with a tiny needle, and discomfort is minimal. Most patients require retreatment in 3-5 months.
How do I prepare for my Belotero treatment?
Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin and Advil for two weeks prior to your appointment. Arrive your appointment with your face freshly cleaned.
Belotero – How will I look or feel initially?
You will be able to see the results instantly. Most patients return to work immediately after treatment. You may notice some swelling, this will subside over the next 2-3 days. Ice packs applied to the treated area will help decrease swelling. As with any injection, there is a possibility that you may bruise.
